New Zealand Delivery

Deliveries are made by Fastway throughout New Zealand. Our online gift delivery system works business day to business day New Zealand wide. Upon receiving your order our products are dispatched within 4 business days unless specified otherwise in the item description. We are usually able to get the parcel out that day if you indicate it is urgent. If we are unable to dispatch your order within this time frame we will contact you and advise you of the expected dispatch date.

Deliveries to North Island addresses will be made overnight. For deliveries to the South Island we allow 48 hours but we usually find it is 24 hours. Please allow up to 2 additional days for delivery to all rural addresses.

Need a Gift Limited will use all reasonable means to ensure the delivery time frames mentioned above are met, however we cannot accept liability for any delays. Please note; if an incorrect delivery option is selected we will contact you if an additional fee is required.

Parcel pricing is based on weight and destination and size so sometimes this makes it hard to calculate exactly. However, if we can get it to your destination for cheaper we will reimburse you. Delivery costs are applied to the total product cost on the checkout page of the delivery process. These costs are determined by the items and delivery method selected during ordering.

All products delivered within New Zealand come with compensation cover should the gifts arrive damaged or are lost during transit. Please contact us and we will we will either replace the items (if a replacement is available) or issue a refund.

You may specify delivery instructions by emailing info@needagift.co.nz. For example, you may authorise the courier to leave the products in a specified location if you will not be at the delivery address. This type of instruction gives the courier permission to leave the delivery without first obtaining your signature. We are not responsible for the products once left for you in accordance with your delivery instructions.

Please note we do not deliver to Postal Boxes or Private Bag addresses.

International Delivery

We deliver all gifts via New Zealand Post International Air Service. All our gifts are carefully packed for safe international delivery. Our delivery charges are applied in categories calculated on the basis of weight. However, if the parcel is light & bulky it may be necessary to base the price on size. Postage and handling is additional to the product prices that are quoted on the website. The total price inclusive of all delivery charges is calculated on the checkout page of the ordering process.

Upon receiving your order our products are shipped within 3 business days unless specified otherwise in the item description. If we are unable to dispatch your order within 3 business days we will contact you and advise you of the expected dispatch date.

Delivery takes between 4 and 10 days depending on the delivery service in the destination country. An international express service is available with courier delivery to key destinations in 2 to 4 working days. Please contact us to request this service. While we endeavor to deliver all gifts within this stated time period we are reliant upon the delivery service in the destination country. Need a Gift will not be liable for the consequences of any delay in the delivery of the gifts.

New Zealand law requires all international packages to have attached customs documentation; including a description of the good and stating the cost. Any import duties or taxes, which are levied by the authorities of the parcels destination country, are at the recipients cost.

Using the International Air service (provided by New Zealand Post), rates include compensation for loss or damage up to NZ$250, with an option to purchase additional compensation cover for parcels up to NZ$1500. A track and trace service is not provided using this service. If you would like to use a track and trace service please contact us at info@needagift.co.nz and we can organise this for you at an additional cost, depending on the size and weight of the item.

Ownership

We retain ownership of and title in the products we supply to you until we have received the full price for the products and the applicable delivery charges.

Once the products are delivered to you (i.e. your signature for delivery is obtained or the products are left in accordance with your delivery instructions), you assume full responsibility for and risk in the products.
